Salazar's Killer

Who killed Salazar? Did he die from Leptospirosis like hat his doctor said? Or there is a foul play?

 Months before his death, he was diagnosed with Lymphoma, a lump beside his testicles. He was scheduled for surgery but because of lack of money he didn’t pursue it.

Until a family friend, who’s a resident nurse in a private hospital, offered a help. Their hospital has a foundation that helps can’t-afford patients to cure-what-has-to-be-cure.

On the day he was about to go to that hospital, ha asked his daughter to get a pair of socks but the daughter refused and told him to wear the shoes without socks. He got pissed off so instead of using the rubber shoes, he just wears a pair of slippers.

A heavy rain poured, he didn’t have umbrella or raincoat. He came home like nothing had happened to him. After washing up, he put on a sweater, lay down and covered his body with blanket. His wife got curious for his behaviour. He usually do the “blanket” thing even if it is oh-so-hot when he sleeps but without the sweater. Wife asked him what’s the matter then she found out that he was sick, fever. He had fever for almost a week.

One Thursday night, he had suffered pain when he pees, but there’s just a single droplet of urine that comes out. He told that to the same daughter, but the daughter just shrugged her shoulder, thinking it’s just nothing. The next day, he started to vomit. He ate less, that’s weird ‘because he was known for eating so much. Saturday, he got worse. He vomits just a clear liquid with a black phlegm-like. Wife said that they should go to the hospital that very moment but he said just sleep and they'll go the next day. but the next day turned out to be the day after that. the diagnosis of the doctors is that he has Leptospirosis, an illness that comes from rat's urine. 

tuesday night, he had his first and last seizure, then he was in coma after that. doctors have told his family that the life chance is 20% , with or without the dialysis that he should go through to release all the toxic in his body. the daughter decided,since wife told her to take charge to the decision since she is the eldest of his children, to wait for his heart beat to stop again like the first time after his seizure. they attended him 24/7. never leave him, thinking he would be gone soon.

then thursday morning, his heart beat stopped for the second time. doctors and nurses rushed in his room to revive his vitals. daughter is in the phone on that time talking to her mother if they'll let their father rest. daughter raised her hand, give a sign to the doctors. 

Salazar,51 years old , a father of 5children, proclaimed dead after daughter's signal.

the daughter , the one who didn't follow his father's request, the one who didn't care why he can't pee, the one who gave signal to the doctors to stop, is thinking if she is the one who killed her own father not the illness that he has.
